Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – Originating in Japan and moving through the heart of Brazil, Jiu Jitsu has made an impact on the world through Mixed Martial Arts. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the traditional form, taking place in the gi and using belt ranks.

When training you can utilize the gi with grips on the lapels, sleeves or pants to create points of leverage to takedown, sweep and submit your opponent. From young children defending themselves on the playground to women walking to their cars after a long day at work, people can be seen using Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in self defense in numerous instances.

You may have heard a testimony from a coworker or seen a viral video of someone controlling an attacker using Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It is a safe and practical martial art that can be trained at high levels, multiple times per week with little bodily impact and can get you into shape and ready for whatever may come in life. Our instructors have a combined 35+ years of experience training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and will show you how to use this modern martial art with varying styles.

Muay Thai

Thai Kickboxing is a strong and veritable martial art that is practiced around the world but is revered in Thailand as a lifestyle. Men and women dedicate themselves to training day in and day out, living their lives in pursuit of great technique. They live in large camps and communities dedicated solely to training and getting ready for the next fight.

Many of the best fighters in the world of Mixed Martial Arts train Muay Thai as their main striking practice. The main recognized difference between Muay Thai and American Kickboxing is the utilization of the knees and elbows. While some kickboxing organizations permit knee strikes, only Muay Thai permits the use of elbow strikes. We believe that this makes it the most versatile when it comes to training for MMA or self defense in general.
